Instructions
1. Boot the laptop containing the Mobile Intel 945 PM Express Chipset. Hold the "Esc" key during boot to navigate into the boot menu. Highlight and select the option labeled "BIOS."
2. Move the cursor to the "Bus" or "External Bus" option and press Enter. Put the cursor on the value next to the "Front Side Bus Speed" field and press Enter. Press the up-arrow keyboard key once to increase the value, and then press Enter to accept the change. This raises the Mobile Intel 945 PM Express Chipset's front bus speed.
3. Move the cursor to the "CPU" or "CPU Core" option and press Enter. Put the cursor on the value next to "Multiplier" and press Enter. Press the up-arrow keyboard key once to increase the value and press Enter to accept the change. This speeds up the Mobile Intel 945 PM Express Chipset's multiplier frequency.
4. Navigate back to the main startup menu. Highlight the "Exit and Save Changes" option and press Enter. The Mobile Intel 945 PM Express Chipset is now overclocked.
