The Asus EEE PC 900 has an Intel Celeron 900MHz chip. The Asus EEE PC 901 has a faster Intel Atom 1.6GHz chip. Battery life on the 901 is significantly better.
Display, Storage and Operating System
Both the Asus 900 and 901 have an 8.9-inch display, Windows XP or Linux as the operating system, and 12 GB of RAM if running Windows, or 20 GB if running Linux.
Size and Weight
The Asus 900 is slightly smaller and lighter than the Asus 901. The 900 is 226-by-170-by-38 mm, while the 901 is 226-by-175-by-45 mm.
Keyboard and Trackpad
The keyboards on the Asus 900 and 901 are the same. The trackpad on the 901 is larger. The 900 has a single click bar, while the 901 has separate right and left click buttons.
