Hook Up My Ps3 To My Motherboard

The PS3 comes equipped with an internal hard drive and motherboard, much like a computer. In fact, you can actually connect your PS3 to your computer in order to transfer data files from one unit to the other. This will require running a networking cable between the two computers. Once this is done, the PS3 will be linked to the motherboard of your computer.

Instructions

1. Click on the "Wireless Internet" icon in the taskbar of the main desktop screen of your computer.

2. Click "Network and Sharing Center" from the list of options. A list of tasks will appear in a window.

3. Click the "Change Adapter Settings" option.

4. Right-click "Ethernet Connection" and then click on "Properties." Ensure that all the checkboxes next to the properties are checked.

5. Click on the "Sharing" tab, check both boxes and then click "OK."

6. Insert one end of the Ethernet cable into the port on the back of the PS3. Insert the other end into the Ethernet port on your computer.

7. Turn on your PS3 and select "Network Settings" from the main menu screen and press "X."

8. Select "Custom" and press "X."

9. Select "Wired Connection" and press "X."

10. Select "Auto Detect" and then "Automatic."

11. Click "Enable" and the two devices will now be synced. The PS3 will be connected to the motherboard of your computer and you can view the PS3 menu on your computer's desktop screen.
