Overclock A Hp Pavilion A645c

The HP Pavilion A645C from Hewlett-Packard Computers was an AMD Athlon XP 3200+-powered desktop PC first released to the marketplace in 2004. With the introduction of Windows Vista and Windows 7 operating systems, the HP Pavilion A645C has quickly become an underpowered PC. Generate a little extra processing power by overclocking the CPU, which takes just a few moments to complete.


Instructions


1. Power on your HP Pavilion A645C and press the "F6" function key when you see the HP splash screen to enter your BIOS. If your HP Pavilion A645C PC is already on, open your Start Menu and click "Restart" to reboot the PC. Once done, enter your BIOS as explained.


2. Navigate to the "Advanced BIOS Features" menu using the directional arrows, then press "Enter" to go into the screen.


3. Highlight the "Front Side Bus" option and press "Enter" to go in to edit mode.


4. Enter a new front side bus speed using the numerical keys on your keyboard. When done, press "Enter" to set the new figure.


5. Press "ESC" to exit out of the "Advanced BIOS Features" submenu, then press "ESC" again to exit your BIOS and reset your PC. When prompted, press "Y" to save your settings.
