Troubleshoot your Gigabyte motherboard to resolve any problems.

The Gigabyte GA-EP45-UD3R is an Intel motherboard that connects various hardware components in a computer system. If you are having problems with your Gigabyte GA-EP45-UD3R, you can look over several aspects of the Intel motherboard and fix the issues yourself. You don't have to be a computer technician to figure out what the problem is. You can do it yourself with minimal knowledge.

Instructions

1. Unplug your computer tower from the wall outlet in your home. Remove the screws holding the tower door onto the computer casing. Open the tower door and locate the motherboard.

2. Check the power cables connecting to the motherboard. The power cables come from the power supply on the upper left hand side of the computer tower. Make sure the cables are all intact and that they are making a connection with the motherboard.

3. Plug the computer into the wall outlet while the tower door is off. Turn the computer on and look for any signs of failure. Do not touch any of the inside of the computer while it is running.

4. Examine the cooling fan inside the computer and make sure it is running. If the cooling fan is not running, replace the cooling fan. Temperature increases can cause a motherboard malfunction or cause your processor to melt the motherboard.

5. Update software needed for your motherboard from the Intel website. The Gigabyte GA-EP45-UD3R has updates that come out periodically. These updates cut down on lag times when you are trying to locate files and can increase the amount of hardware compatibility on the motherboard.
