Overclock Hp Motherboards

Overclock your HP motherboard to gain increased computer speeds.

HP motherboards are a thin, flat sheet of printed circuit board, or PCB. HP motherboards connect various computer components together and provide power to each of those components. The speed at which some of these connections are made influences the speed at which the computer operates. Editing motherboard settings found in the computer's BIOS raises the front bus speed of the motherboard, providing a speed boost to the processor and therefore the PC itself.

Instructions

1. Boot the desktop or laptop using the HP motherboard. Press and hold "Esc" to enter the boot menu on a laptop and "F11" to enter the boot menu on a desktop. Move the PC's cursor to the "BIOS" and press "Enter."

2. Hover the PC's cursor over the "Front Side Bus" or "Front Bus" option and press the "Enter" key. From the menu that appears, select a value above the default and press "Enter." This sets the HP motherboard's front bus speed to a higher level, which overclocks the device.

3. Exit out of the BIOS and boot menu completely. Once the PC boots up successfully the HP motherboard is overclocked.
