The KV8-X is a motherboard designed and manufactured by ASUS. This product is several generations old and is no longer manufactured. The K8V-X motherboard follows the AMD Socket 754 form factor. The motherboard supports both AMD Sempron processors and Athlon 64 processors that follow the Socket 754 form factor. The motherboard provides users with three RAM DIMMs. These sockets can support a maximum of 3 GB of memory. Memory compatible with this motherboard includes DDR SDRAM modules. Other Features and Specifications
The motherboard provides audio support through an ADI AD1980 6-channel codec and an S/PDIF interface. A Marvell 88E 8001 GbLAN provides networking support. The motherboard uses a 4-MB Flash EEPROM AMI BIOS with ASUS "EZ Flash," ASUS "Mylogo2," SM BIOS 2.3 and Crash-Free BIOS2. The K8V-X follows the ATX form factor, being 12 inches long by 9.6 inches wide. If purchased new, the board came with a support disc, a manual UltraDMA cables, an FDD cable, an IDE cable and Serial ATA cables.
