Overclock The Intel Core 2 Duo E6300

Speed up the Intel Core 2 Duo E6300 processor with overclocking techniques.


The Intel Core 2 Duo E6300 CPU contains two processing cores and processes all the data its host computer uses. The speed of the Intel Core 2 Duo E6300 directly increases or decreases the PC's power and speed. Overclocking further increases a computer's power by speeding up the CPU's processing speed. BIOS and CPU settings in the boot menu are increased to overclock the Intel Core 2 Duo E6300.


Instructions


1. Restart or boot up the computer housing the Intel Core 2 Duo E6300. Hold the correct function key (usually F11) to get into the PC's boot menu. Pick the "BIOS Features Setup" option and press "Enter."


2. Pick the "External Bus" choice from the list. Move the cursor to the field containing a megahertz value such as "133Mhz." Press "Enter" and then the up arrow key to select the option above the default. Press "Enter" and exit the "External Bus" menu to apply the change. This increases the speed of the Intel Core 2 Duo E6300's front bus.


3. Pick the "CPU Core" choice from the list. Select "Multiplier" from the selections and press "Enter." Increase the value in the field by 1. Press "Enter" to apply the change. Exit the "CPU Core" menu.


4. Find and press the "Save and Exit" option in the main boot menu. Allow your PC system to finish booting. The Intel Core 2 Duo E6300 installed on the system is now overclocked.
