Optiplex Gx150 Pci Video Card Installation

Upgrading the video card on your Dell GX150 desktop PC can give you sharper images and a more stable picture, especially if you do a lot of gaming and other video-intensive work. The video card built into the Dell GX150 is fine for simple Web surfing and email. But for more serious work, a stand-alone video card is a smart choice.

Prepare for Installation

Shut down the Optiplex GX150 and remove any peripheral devices. Remove the screws from the back of the case.

Locate the Expansion Slot

Press the two release levers on the sides of the case, and swing the case up. Push down on the lever covering the expansion card cover, and swing the arm up.

Remove the Filler

Remove the filler card bracket from the empty slot, and set it aside. Place the video card on the connector. Press down firmly to seat the card.

Connect the Card

Replace the computer cover, and reconnect your peripheral devices. Connect your monitor to the newly-installed video card.
