Replace A Fuse On A Viewsonic Vx1900 Monitor

Viewsonic is one of the leading names in the computer industry for the manufacturing of monitors. The Viewsonic VX 1900 is a high resolution flat screen monitor. The Viewsonic VX 1900 is protected from power surges by a fuse. If your monitor ever stops working completely, one problem could be the fuse. Changing the fuse out is not difficult. Gaining access to the fuse is a little tricky, but it can be done at home in around 20 minutes.

Instructions

1. Unplug all chords from your Viewsonic.

2. Place your Viewsonic face down on a flat surface covered by a clean cloth or sheet.

3. Remove the four retaining screws on the monitor's rear center panel and lift it up. On your Viewsonic 1900, this will expose the power cord plugs and the fuse slot.

4. Remove the fuse from the slot and place the new fuse in.

5. Gently set the center panel onto the back of your monitor and then replace the four retaining screws.

6. Set your monitor back upright, attach all its plugs and then power it up to test the monitor.
