A motherboard contains the most vital parts of the computer.
Micro ATX motherboards are designed for small form-factor computers and other places where space is a premium. Their bigger brothers, mini ATX and standard ATX motherboards, offer more expansion slots at the cost of space. However, nearly all micro ATX motherboards will fit inside larger cases. That's because ATX standards are designed so that a smaller motherboard will always fit inside a larger case.
Instructions
1. Open the case and find the plate the motherboard will rest on. It is be a thin aluminum plate with many pre-drilled screw holes. Remove the plate from the case, if possible. Removing the plate from the case and placing it on open work surface will simplify installing the motherboard, but is not necessary.
2. Consult your motherboard's manual to learn where to place screw nuts. Otherwise, you can place the motherboard on the plate and align the holes---the holes surrounded by metal that align require screw nuts. Place screw nuts into the correct holes on the plate and screw them finger-tight.
3. Place the motherboard directly on top the screw nuts. Fix the motherboard to the plate by putting screws in the holes with screw nuts and using the screwdriver to tighten them lightly.
4. Note that one side of the motherboard has connections that must be exposed. Place the motherboard into the case and make sure those connections are exposed. If they are not, you must remove the plates that don't fit and install the plates provided with the motherboard. Consult the case's manual for instructions.
5. Screw the motherboard with plate back into the case.
