Hardware Requirements Of Pc For Best Gaming Experience

Hardware Requirements of PC for Best Gaming Experience

Modern PC's are very powerful, so having the best gaming experience on the platform does not require the monetary investment that it once did.

Processor

A modern gaming computer should have at least a dual core processor running 2.0 ghz or above, but a quad core processor would be ideal. In late 2009, few games are coded to take advantage of quad core processors, but their numbers are steadily increasing.

RAM

Four gigabytes of RAM is the minimum amount a gaming computer should use. Newer operating systems and more detailed games are more RAM intensive than ever.

Hard Drive

A minimum of 500 GB of disk space is necessary. Ideally 750 GB to 1 TB would be a more comfortable amount for storing not only game data but patches, demos, game videos and other game-related files.

Peripherals

A keyboard and mouse made specifically for gaming can give you the edge in competitive gaming. Gaming mice have laser sensors and higher sensitivity than normal mice, and gaming keyboards offer buttons for scripted actions and back-lit keys.

Graphics Card

The most important component in a gaming PC is the GPU. Spend as much as your budget will allow on a GPU, as higher performing GPU's directly relate to the speed and detail that your PC can render in a game.

Cooling

Gaming PCs tend to get very hot because their high performance components produce a lot of heat. Properly cooling your system via upgraded air cooling or water cooling is a must to avoid any heat-related errors.
