Identify My Gigabyte Motherboard

To install or update device drivers on your computer or to upgrade its hardware, you must know the make and model of the motherboard installed inside the case. It is usually possible to identify a Gigabyte motherboard by looking for an ID number on the circuit board; however, the number may be obscured by cables and other hardware components, making it difficult to find. System analyzer software such as SiSoftware Sandra, AIDA64 and CPUID CPU-Z can scan your computer hardware and accurately identify which Gigabyte motherboard is installed in your system.

Instructions

1. Download and install Sandra from Sisoftwareware.net, CPU-Z from CPUID.com or AIDA64 from the Aida64.com website. Restart the computer if you are prompted to do so.

2. Launch the system analyzer by clicking its icon on your desktop. Then click the "Motherboard," "Mainboard" or "System Board" icon or button to view the motherboard information.

3. Check the information next to the "Model" field to identify which Gigabyte motherboard is installed in your computer.

4. Go to the Gigabyte.us website. Enter the full model name of the product, minus the manufacturer name, into the search box on the top right.

5. Click "Enter" to search for the motherboard product. Select your model from the search results. Click the "Specification" tab to view your motherboard's components and features. Click the "Downloads" tab to obtain the device drivers, manual or BIOS upgrades.
