The Asus PK5 motherboard is a midrange desktop motherboard released by Asus in 2008. It is highly customizable, and boasts a good level of compatibility across many types of peripherals. Editing the BIOS of the PK5 can allow users to overclock or underclock their processor, change boot priority and manage additional hardware directly from the motherboard. Editing the BIOS of the Asus PK5 is actually quite simple, and requires no extra software or documentation.
Instructions
1. Boot up your computer, and quickly press "F2" when prompted to enter the BIOS menu.
2. Navigate using the arrow keys, and locate the settings you wish to modify. For more advanced options, select the "Advanced" tab, then switch on the "AI Overclocking" option.
3. Select the parameters you wish to change using the arrow keys. When you have finished editing the desired parameters press "F10" to save all changes, and exit the BIOS menu. You will need to reboot the computer for any changes to take effect.
