Upgrade The Asrock Bios

BIOS assists in initializing components attached to the computer.

ASRock is a computer parts firm based in Taiwan that manufactures computer systems and peripherals for various types of computing devices, ranging from motherboards to complete personal computers such as net-books and digital video recorders. BIOS stands for Basic Input/Output Instructions and almost all motherboards depend heavily on these instructions to initialize the hardware and peripherals connected to a computer. These instructions need to be updated from time to time and can usually be downloaded from the manufacturer's website.

Instructions

1. Download the BIOS update files from the manufacturer's website and save the files to a USB drive, USB hard drive or a floppy disk.

2. Restart the computer, and press "F2" during bootup to enter the BIOS setup menu.

3. Click on "SMART" menu and select "ASRock Instant Update" utility.

4. The instant flash utility will automatically find the BIOS files from the attached device and display the version number on the screen. Select the BIOS version from the list displayed and press "Enter."

5. Restart the computer normally. The ASRock BIOS will now be upgraded.
