Mounts in "World of Warcraft" come in two types -- ground and flying. Mounts allow you to travel large distances faster then you would if you were on foot. You can first gain a ground mount at level 20 or a flying mount at level 60. At first, these mounts will only move slightly faster than you. However, by being at the appropriate level and buying the necessary mount skills, you can increase the speed of your mount.
Instructions
1. Raise your character's level to qualify for the training. To ride your ground mount faster, you will need to reach level 40. To ride your flying mount faster, you will need to be level 70 for the second fastest tier of flight and level 80 for the fastest.
2. Travel to a major city, such as Origammar for the Horde or Stormwind for the Alliance.
3. Right-click on a guard and select "Riding Trainer" to be shown the location of the trainer on your map.
4. Right-click the trainer to purchase the faster mount skill. The skills can range in price from four gold to 5000 gold. Once bought, your mount automatically increases in speed.
